Camilla Thellbro has PhD from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Department of Forest Resource Management. Camilla has long experience of municipal spatial planning and participatory processes for sustainable development from a landscape perspective. The doctoral dissertation is about how municipal comprehensive planning can be improved as a tool for landscape planning and community development, primarily in rural municipalities, through developed participatory processes and increased integration of knowledge about local natural resources and their utilization. The absence of forest resource and forest owners in municipal planning, as well as the potential of integrating the forest perspective in the planning, are highlighted as illustrative examples.
